Please note EVERY household that sustained losses must apply for assistance, either by registering online at www.disasterassistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY) for the hearing and speech impaired. The phone numbers will operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (local time) seven days a week until further notice.
A federal/state Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will open Saturday, Aug. 28, in Westchester for residents to meet face-to-face with disaster recovery specialists, officials said today.
The DRCs, operated jointly by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week, at the following location:
