Chicago Commons mission is to empower individuals, families, and communities to overcome poverty and systemic barriers, embrace opportunities, and thrive across generations. To fulfill that mission, we provide high quality early childhood education, family-centered adult education, and senior services to more than 3,000 individuals annually. Through four early education centers, we ensure that children are prepared for kindergarten ready to learn. While children are being educated and cared for, their parents and families can receive comprehensive services through our Family Hub program. For seniors, we provide in-home care and adult day services, enabling them to stay in their homes while their family members work or go to school. Founded in 1894, Chicago Commons was one of Chicago's original settlement houses serving immigrants on Chicago's near north side. For 125 years, we have operated in areas where residents are most under-resourced.
