Aggravated Unlawful use of a Weapon #24-00335

WPD units were dispatched to the 1900 block of Mannheim in reference to a subject with a firearm.
Proviso Central Dispatch provided a description of the subjects who were observed by responding Officers in the area. Officers detained three subjects, and located two firearms on the subjects. Myles Stowers, 29, Westchester, was turned over to Cook County Sheriff Police for a Failure to Appear Warrant.
The Cook County States Attorney Office was contacted and a one charge of Aggravated Unlawful use of a Weapon was approved. Derico Jimerson 21, Westchester, was charged one count of Aggravated Unlawful use of a Weapon. Jimerson was issued a citation and Notice and given a court date at the 4th District Cook County Courthouse in Maywood, IL
The public is reminded that all persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
