On Friday October 27, 2023 at approximately 1215 hours Westchester Police, Fire, and EMS responded to the 1500 block of Newcastle Avenue for a report of a subject in the street who was just shot multiple times.
After the combined effort between Westchester and Hillside Police Department, at 1247hrs on 10/27/23 a subject was taken into custody without incident on the corner of Roosevelt Road and Westchester Boulvard. Incident was worked thoroughly with joint effort of Investigations and Patrol Division throughout the day.
Jaylin Price, 18, Westchester was taken into custody by Police. Cook County States Attorney Office was contacted and Price was charged with two Felonies. Attempted First Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery/Discharge of Firearm. Price will be transported to the 4th District Cook County Courthouse in Maywood for a bond hearing.
The public is reminded that all persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
