on 10/27/23 Westchester Police responded to the rear of the 10400 block of Cermak Road, for a suspicious auto. Officers arrived on scene and observed a black Audi behind the business with subjects sleeping in the vehicle. Officers attempted to wake the occupants, and were advised by Proviso Central Dispatch that the vehicle was reported stolen from Skokie on 10/26/23.
At this time the driver woke up and attempted to put the vehicle in drive, as officers were ordering them out. The driver at this time began to pull away, Police ordered the driver to stop, and continued to reverse into the squad. The driver managed to drive away westbound through the alley, and fled westbound onto Cermak Road. Subsequently two passengers were taken into custody and turned over to Westchester Detectives.
On 10/31/2023 Investigations took into custody Driver Camden Wall, 18, Evanston. Cook County States Attorney Office approved two Felony Charges for Unlawful Possession of Stolen Vehicle and Fleeing and Eluding. Wall was also charged with Misdemeanor Endangering the Life & Health of a Child and Criminal Damage to State Property.
Wall was released with Citation & Notice and given a court date at the 4th District Cook County Courthouse in Maywood.
