11.32.020 Parking at curb:

  • No vehicle shall be parked with the left side of such vehicle next to the curb, and it is unlawful to stand or park any vehicle in a street other than parallel with the curb and with the two right wheels of the vehicle within twelve inches of the regularly established curb line, except that upon those streets that have been marked for angle parking, vehicles shall be parked at the angle to the curb indicated by such marks.

11.32.030 Vehicles for sale:

  • It is unlawful to park any vehicle upon any street for the purpose of displaying it for sale, or to park any vehicle upon any business street from which vehicle merchandise is peddled.

11.32.150 Truck parking:

  • It is unlawful to park any vehicle, licensed to operate as a truck-tractor, semi-trailer, a trailer, truck bearing a Class D license or above (as defined in the Illinois Revised Statutes Chapter 95 ½) or tow truck bearing a license, or to permit any such vehicle to remain parked at any time on any street in the village or on private property in said village located in a district zoned for a single-family, two-family to three-family, or three-family to six-family residences; except for the purpose of making a delivery or a service call for a period of not to exceed thirty minutes. It is lawful to park any noncommercial vehicle bearing "B" license players on any street in the village or on private property in the village in a district zoned for single-family, two-family to three-family, or three-family to six-family residences.

11.32.155 Recreational vehicle parking:

  • No person, firm or corporation shall park any recreational vehicle, which exceeds twenty-five feet in length, whether self-propelled or towed on any street in the village unless specific written permission by the village police department is granted and said permission cannot exceed a total of fourteen days in any one calendar year. Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be subject to a fine not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than five hundred dollars per day per violation.

11.32.160 Parking on alternate sides for snow removal and street maintenance.

  • Between December 1 and March 31, after a two-inch snowfall, except as otherwise posted (e.g., Section 11.30.020 of the Municipal Code), it is unlawful to park any vehicle, or to permit any vehicle to remain parked, on odd-numbered sides of the street on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and on even-numbered sides of the street on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays until said snow has been removed.

  • Between April 1 and November 30, except as otherwise posted (e.g., Section 11.30.020 of the Municipal Code), it is unlawful to park any vehicle, or to permit any vehicle to remain parked, during certain weekdays on streets designated by the village for street maintenance as indicated by signs posted by the village.

  • Any motor vehicle that has not complied with the requirements in this section at any time during the specified time period shall be considered to be in violation of these requirements until said motor vehicle has been moved. For purposes of this section, odd sides of the street are defined as the south side of east and west streets, and the east side of north and south streets; even sides of the street are defined as the north side of east and west streets, and the west side of north and south streets. Determination of odd and even numbered sides of the street for cul-de-sac parking and other similar circumstances shall be made by reference to house numbers.

11.56.010 Village Stickers Required by April 30th:

  • It is unlawful for any person residing in the village, or for any firm or corporation having its principal place of business in the village, or having vehicles registered to an address in the village, to use, cause or permit any of his, her, it’s or their agents or employees to operate any motor vehicle within the corporate limits of the village, or to allow any motor vehicle to be parked on public or private property located within the corporate limits of the village, unless such motor vehicle is licensed as hereinafter provided.

10.04.020 - Dog License Required:

  • Every person who owns or keeps a dog within the limits of the village shall report to the village clerk annually, on or before the first day of January of each year, his or her name and address, and shall give the name, breed, color and sex of each and every dog kept by such person within the village, and shall present for the scrutiny of the village clerk a certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian indicating that the dog has been inoculated for rabies within one year previous to the date of application for license. That the fine for not registering a dog license in the village of Westchester shall be a minimum fine of one hundred dollars up to a maximum fine of seven hundred fifty dollars. *The pet licenses are free to residents.

10.04.060 Dogs At large Penalty:

  • If any dog is in any street, alley or other public place within the village of Westchester or upon the private premises of any person other than the owner or keeper of such dog and shall there annoy or endanger any person or destroy or damage or injure any property, the owner or keeper of such dog shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than fifty dollars for the first offense on the part of the owner or keeper in allowing or permitting such dog to be or in failing to prevent such dog from being on such street, alley or other public place or upon such private premises; and upon a second or subsequent conviction for a similar offense committed thereafter, such owner or keeper shall be fined not less than fifty dollars nor more than one hundred dollars for each offense.
