Dawn Wucki-Rossbach has spent 35 plus years in local government management, including eight years as the Assistant Village Manager with the Village of Carpentersville, Illinois. Over the course of time, she has worked for the Villages of Hinsdale, Libertyville, Mount Prospect, Roselle and Westmont. She has experience in Community Development, Public Works, Human Resources, Risk Management, Law Enforcement, Budget and Finance.
Between 2015 and 2019 she was the Business Manager with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office where she oversaw a $65 million-dollar budget comprised of 13 management centers and three diverse funds. She has experience in grants and served as the Financial Point of Contact for two (2) Federal grants and a MacArthur Grant. Her office was responsible for negotiating seven (7) municipal intergovernmental-agreements for policing, school resource officer services and coordinated labor negotiations with eight (8) separate bargaining units that represent over 95% of the 483 full-time and 53 part-time people employed by the Sheriff’s Office.
Most recently, she served as the first Village Administrator for the Village of Maple Park, Illinois, where she detailed the budget, created and implemented the Village’s first Eight-Year Capital Improvement Maintenance Plan and applied the plan to a Long-Term Financial Forecast and Analysis. She also wrote and administered the Village’s first Tax Increment Policy and served as the Village’s Planner.
Dawn received her B.A.s in Public Administration and Political Science from Augustana College and her M.P.A. from Northern Illinois University.
